Travel Day 9
We decided to spend an extra day here in Munich however needed to relocate ourselves to another hostel.
Surprisingly when we went out breakfast this morning to find bakery that did coffee (I'm beginning to learn that a breakfast coffee is very important for some people) we found that combination that is open was not that easy to find. Journey after about four bakeries and 1.5 km's we arrived at a bakery that did good croissants (and coffee I am told).
From the it was back to the hostel to pack up and get ready to relocate about a KM closer to the station. While Stephen and I did that Peter went off to find a bike shop as he wanted to have his gears looked at. I took the opportunity after all the rain yesterday to service my chain.
We found the new hostel and were able to drop out bags and bikes so as we could become "tourists" for the day. And what do we do as tourists you may well ask? We find out where to get on the "Hop on, hop off" bus and climb up to the top deck of an open topped double decker bus to be driven around the city having all the important tourist things pointed out to us.
After that it was lunch followed by hopping on the bus again to do the Olympic Park tour and then we went shopping! We'll not quite, but here in Munich they have a 900 mete street that is dedicated to shops with no vehicles and that's where we walked. The boys decided they would have their first beer on the trip, so they ordered two of the local and I went without (would you believe the Cafe did meals, beer and coffee, but no tea...
A quiet walk back on the shady side of the street to our hostel after that.
